I am becoming addicted to Spider Solitaire.

Also: I AM GETTING OLD.

The new campaign starts tonight. I still have to write up three intros, but it's looking good and I am excited for all of us.

Mike and I are also talking about merging our campaigns. At the very least I am writing all my background content with the expectation that at some point I may self-publish it. Mike tends to be very good with the crunchy bits (encounters, tactics, treasure) but weak on the storytelling end. As for me, I...I want people to sob when I tell them there's been a message from their mother, and their puppy died. Battling a pit fiend. In hell.

Oh, and that puppy was your brother. Polymorphed when he was younger. Terribly tragic.

Anyway, I may end up posting some more here about the setting after tonight. Or not. Whee.

on limits, and knowing them

Though my talents are many, none of them rest in costuming. The type of focus and organization required to make a straight stitch are not in my realm of command. In my one or two attempts, I remember borrowing Lisa's Singer and nearly sewing my hand into the sleeve of the T-tunic I was trying to make for a Dragon*Con. My embroidery attempts were equally unpleasant. Knitting is much easier in comparison.

Still, there are days I wish I was handy at the needle*, because I would love to make Agatha's current outfit in Girl Genius.

I'm outlining, which means my brain is lighting up like a pinball machine about to TILT and that means sleep is beginning to slip like frictionless sand through my fingers. I woke up five times last night. I am yawning mightily today.

I'm also collaborating on a non-work-related gaming project...but we won't talk about that too much just yet.
